The magnificent of the desert

Always, from a very young age, I have been in love with the sea. I love to sit on the beach to look at its immensity, its mystery and just watch it. But above all, I love swimming in the sea and doing sports in it. But I never imagine, falling in love with a sea of sand. Yes, you read well... a sea of sand, and now I'm going to tell you the story of the best vacation of my life: my travel to the desert.

The first time that I traveled to the desert was in July of 2019 and I went to the Atacama Desert, in the north of Chile. I traveled with my whole nuclear family: My dad, My mom, my three sisters and my little brother and we didn't' t stay form more than 5 days, but it was the best holidays ever. The main cause of why this was the best trip it's because it was the last trip we made with the whole family. My two older sisters work, one has already left home and is getting married in February, so this was the last trip together.

We did a lot of sightseeing around San Pedro. We visit the valley of death, the valley of the moon, the altiplanic lagoons and a lot of wanderfull places. We toured the desert in many parts, being our own tour guides. This was easy since we got a car that we used as if it were 4x4.

One of the experiences that I remember the most was a bike ride that we all did together. I have loved cycling since I was little, and doing sports with the family in such incredible landscapes was one of the best experiences of my life without a doubt. That same night, we went on a night walk to see the stars. It was at dawn and the sky was simply incredible, towards a cold that was little bearable. But once we passed it, it just remained as one more experience to tell.

Without a doubt, it was my best trip and I have many memories. If you have the opportunity to go to San Pedro, I recommend it. It is an incredible destination and it is a very important part of our country, get travel along Chile, it's just wonderful.
